529 Plan Wells Fargo
Question: I need to roll over my 401k into an IRA what is a good company. I’m also looking for a good 529 company?
My 401k is less than $1000 and I would be putting about $100 a month into it (eventually more). I’m also looking for a good 529 that I would be putting about $100 a month into (eventually more), my son is 3. My boyfriend’s parents said to shop around because your state’s plan might not have the best returns and it doesn’t matter what state the company is based out. I bank with Wells Fargo but I have noticed that their interest rates are way lower than most companies usually.
I’ve heard that financial advisors usually deal with people who make over 6 figures or very upper 5′s, I’m lucky if I make 5 in some years. Also, my state doesn’t have state tax. (Texas)
Answer: You can open a Roll over IRA with Fidelity investments. Not only they are very professional and helpful, they have numerous mutual funds to choose from. Consider Roth IRA as well, besides the traditional one.
For 529, I would suggest looking into your state sponsored plan, if any. many states have their own 529 plans, and the advantage is that anyone who contributes can take a state tax deduction. The flip side is that these plans may not be “the best performing” ones./
