Question: transfer schools? please help!?
Im a freshman at depaul university and it costs almost 32000 a year to go here. My first year is only half paid off by savings, now i have to resort to loans. Since i dont want to be in debt all my life, Im thinking about transfering to a cheaper school. I love it at depaul and i love the city, but sometimes i feel like im not getting the real college experience (making fun out of nothing) because there is always something to do around here. One other choice is eastern which is cheap, but opposite of where i am, plus my classes may not transfer as well as id like, then theres arizona which is basically exactly like depaul but cheaper, and a billion miles away. It would be hard to leave my family and friends behind, but thats the only bad part, is that a good enough reason to go to eastern? any other suggestions of similar colleges? some please give me their opinion!!!! i cant decide and deadlines are coming!
Answer: I’ve lived in Chicago, and I’ve never heard of Eastern, so I wouldn’t recommend going there. Arizona probably would be somewhat cheaper, but remember that any state university outside Illinois would not be too cheap because you would be paying out of state tuition. Have you looked at U of I or UIC as possibilities?
