Question: Is it better to have more 529 plans or just one?

For myself, I am 18 years old and heading to college this fall. As of this year, and the future, all 529 plans are considered parental asset regardless if it is in a student name.

I plan to go to a medical school in 9 years or so, or attend some other school. And of course, when im done with school, I can transfer my 529 Plan to my kids, correct me if I’m wrong.

I currently have a plan with Vanguard 529 – Neveda. I was looking to get one from Utah and one from Ohio. Just for myself.

btw I have full ride to a community college which I where transfer.

Answer: Why would you want more than one?
The paperwork is more trouble than it’s worth.
combine them all into one.
