Question: How can I get a 529 college savings plan for my daughter?
I live in NJ but would like to get one from Utah. How do I inform my workplace?
Answer: 529 Plans are not offered through employers. They are offered directly by states or through brokers. The plans offered by brokers usually come with higher fees.
Even though the plans are sponsored by each state, you can adopt the plan offered by any state – you don’t have to be a resident of that state.
